弟兄們，我不以自己為已經抓得着了。只有一件；我就是忘了背後的，盡全身之力去追求前面的事，

『但我的義僕卻必須本於信而活；他若退縮，我的心就不喜悅他』。

當那日子，人在房頂上、而家具在屋子裏的、不要下來取；那在田地裏的、也照樣不要返回。你們要記得羅得的妻子。

倘若他們既因認識我們的主、救主耶穌基督、而逃脫了世俗的染污，又在其中被纏住被制勝着，那麼他們末後的景況就比先前的更壞了。他們認識了正義之路以後，若從所傳授給他們的聖誡上退轉下去，那倒不如沒有認識過好啊。『狗轉過身來，喫自己所嘔吐的』；『豬洗了身，又去污泥裏打滾！』這真實的俗語所說的、已在這些人身上得證實了。

不過他總要用信心求，一點也不疑惑；因為疑惑的人就像海中的大浪被風吹蕩翻騰。那種人別想要從主那裏得到甚麼了；心懷二意的人在他所行的一切路上都搖蕩不定。

免致像他們祖宗、做頑梗悖逆的一代，做居心不堅定、心對上帝不忠實的一代。放縱無度詐偽不忠之輩、就像接戰之日乖張的弓一樣。

因為底馬貪愛現今世，撇棄了我，往帖撒羅尼迦去，革勒士往加拉太去，提多往撻馬太去，

巴拿巴有意思也帶着稱馬可的約翰同行。保羅卻以為、把一個曾從旁非利亞離開自己、不和自己同去作工的人、帶着同行、不適當。
