耶穌對他說：『狐狸有洞，空中的飛鳥有窩，惟獨人子沒有枕頭的地方！』

耶穌曰、狐有穴、鳥有巢、惟人子無枕首之所也、

耶穌應之曰：『狐有丘、鳥有巢、人子獨無枕首地。』

Jesus replied,“ Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

But Jesus replied,“ Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”

Jesus told him,“ Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Jesus told him,“ Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.”

我親愛的弟兄們請聽，上帝豈不是揀選了世人以為窮的而富於信仰，以承受他所應許給愛他之人的國麼？

『人來找我，除非少愛自己的父親、母親、妻子、弟兄、姐妹、甚至於自己的性命、就不能做我的門徒。凡不背着自己的十字架來跟着我的，不能做我的門徒。你們中間誰想要建造守望樓，不先坐下，計算費用，有沒有作到完竣的把握呢？恐怕他立好了根基，竟不能造成，看的人就會譏誚起來，說：「這個人開始建造，卻不能造成！」或是哪一個王要去同別的王交戰，豈不先坐下計議，能不能用一萬人去敵那領二萬來攻打他的呢？若是不能，就該趁他還離得遠的時候，差遣公使去求和平的條款。所以這樣：你們各人、凡不跟自己的一切資財訣絕的，都不能做我的門徒。

你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩：他本來富足，卻為了你們的緣故成為貧窮，使你們因着他的貧窮成為富足。

耶穌對他說：『狐狸有洞，空中的飛鳥有窩，惟獨人子沒有枕頭的地方！』

約書亞對人民說：『你們不能事奉永恆主；因為他是聖別的上帝；他是忌邪的上帝；他必不赦免你們的過犯罪惡。倘若你們離棄了永恆主，去事奉外族人的神，那麼永恆主在使你們得福之後，就一定轉而降禍與你們、把你們都滅盡。』人民對約書亞說：『不；我們總要事奉永恆主。』約書亞對人民說：『你們為自己選擇了永恆主、要事奉他：你們對自己作證吧。』他們說：『我們願意作證。』

門徒中有許多人聽了，就說：『很難哪這話！誰能聽得進去呢？』但耶穌心裏卻知道門徒對於這話在唧唧咕咕地議論，就向他們說：『這就使你們難以置信麼？倘若你們看見人子升到他原先之處、就怎樣呢？使人活的乃是靈；肉體無濟於事；我所對你們說的話語是靈，是生命。但你們中間竟有不信的！』（因為從起初耶穌就知道誰是不信的，誰是那要把他送官的。）所以他說：『故此我對你們說，除非由父賜他，沒有人能來找我。』從此門徒中就有許多人退後，不再跟耶穌同行了。

在你的居所裏小鳥為自己找着了家，燕子為自己找着了菢雛的窩。萬軍之永恆主，我的王、我的上帝啊，

耶穌聽見了，就對他說，『你還缺了一件：要變賣你一切所有的，以分給窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』他聽見這些話，就很憂困；因為他是極有錢的。
