今彼恐喝我儕、求主鑒之、賜僕毅然傳爾道、施權以醫人、使我以聖子耶穌之名行異跡奇事、

我見獸七首之一、受傷幾死、其幾死之傷全愈、天下人皆奇而從獸、

耶戶不盡心遵守主以色列天主之律法、昔耶羅波安犯罪、使以色列人陷於罪、耶戶不離其罪、

大衛召基遍人而問之、此基遍人、原不屬以色列人、乃屬所遺之亞摩利人、以色列人曾與之立誓不殺之、掃羅為以色列人及猶大人熱中欲滅之、或作掃羅忌彼與以色列人猶大人雜居欲滅之

耶戶曰、爾與我偕往、可見我為主如何熱中、於是使其乘車偕往、
