but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem.

So the Samaritan woman said to him,“ How can you– a Jew– ask me, a Samaritan woman, for water to drink?”( For Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans.)

and said to them,“ Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me, for the one who is least among you all is the one who is great.”

So when the Samaritans came to him, they began asking him to stay with them. He stayed there two days,and because of his word many more believed.They said to the woman,“ No longer do we believe because of your words, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this one really is the Savior of the world.”
