但是他們抗拒、褻瀆，保羅就抖著衣服，對他們說：“你們的罪你們自己承擔，這與我無關。從今以後，我要到外族人那裡去了。”

兩人當眾跺掉腳上的塵土，往以哥念去了。

我抖著胸前的衣襟說：“不履行這話的，願神也是這樣抖他離開他的家和產業，直到抖空。”全體會眾都說：“阿們！”又讚美耶和華。眾人都照著這話去行。

那裡的人不接待他，因為他面向著耶路撒冷走。他的門徒雅各、約翰看見了，就說：“主啊，你要我們吩咐火從天降下來，燒滅他們嗎？”耶穌就轉過身來，責備他們，然後他們就往別的村莊去了。

無論進哪一城，人若不接待你們，你們就出來到街上，說：‘連你們城裡那黏在我們腳上的塵土，我們也要當著你們擦去。雖然這樣，你們應該知道：神的國臨近了！’我告訴你們，當那日，所多瑪所受的，比那城所受的還輕呢。

對他們說：“凡因我的名接待這小孩子的，就是接待我；凡接待我的，就是接待那差我來的。誰是你們中間最小的，那人就是最大的。”

“凡因我的名接待一個這樣的小孩子的，就是接待我；凡接待我的，不是接待我，而是接待那差我來的。”

耶穌囑咐他不可告訴任何人，“你只要去給祭司檢查，並且照著摩西所規定的，為你得潔淨獻祭，好向大家作證。”

你們為我的緣故，也要被帶到統治者和君王面前，向他們和外族人作見證。
