眾人都驚奇神的大能。眾人還在希奇耶穌所作的這一切時，他對門徒說：“你們要把這些話存在心裡：人子將要被交在人的手裡。”門徒不明白這話，因為這話的意思是隱藏的，不讓他們明白，他們也不敢問。

他們從那裡出去，經過加利利，耶穌不想讓人知道，因為他正在教導門徒。他又對他們說：“人子將要被交在人的手裡，他們要殺害他，死後三天他要復活。”門徒不明白這話，又不敢問他。

他們一認出他就是那平時坐在聖殿美門口討飯的，就因他所經歷的事，滿心希奇，驚訝不已。那人拉著彼得和約翰的時候，群眾都很驚奇，跑到他們那裡，就是所羅門廊的下面。彼得看見了，就對群眾說：“以色列人哪，為甚麼因這事希奇呢？為甚麼瞪著我們，好像我們是憑著自己的能力和虔誠，使這人行走呢？亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神，就是我們祖宗的神，榮耀了他的僕人耶穌。這位耶穌，你們把他送交官府。彼拉多本來定意要放他，你們卻當著彼拉多的面拒絕他。

他和跟他在一起的人，因這網所打的魚，都十分驚駭。

我們從前把我們主耶穌基督的大能和降臨的事告訴你們，並不是隨從巧妙捏造傳奇的故事，我們卻是親眼看見過他威榮的人。

眾人都驚駭，彼此談論說：“這是怎麼回事？他用權柄能力吩咐污靈，污靈竟出來了。”

耶穌對他們說：“你們的信心在哪裡？”他們又懼怕、又希奇，彼此說：“這到底是誰？他吩咐風浪，連風浪也聽從他。”

於是上了船，和他們在一起，風就平靜了。門徒心裡十分驚奇，

他們聚集在加利利的時候，耶穌對門徒說：“人子將要被交在人的手裡，

“萬軍之耶和華這樣說：‘在那些日子，這事在這餘剩的子民眼中被視為不可能的奇蹟，在我眼中也視為不可能嗎？’這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告。

眾人都驚奇，頌讚神，並且十分懼怕，說：“我們今天看見了不平常的事。”

我要稱謝你，因為我的受造奇妙可畏；你的作為奇妙，這是我深深知道的。
