『父啊，你所給了我的、願我在哪裏，他們也同我在哪裏，使他們瞻仰我的榮耀、就是你所給了我的，因為世界創立以前，你已經愛了我。

他來到門徒那裏，見他們睡着，就對彼得說：『你們竟這樣沒有力量同我儆醒麼？要儆醒，要禱告，免得入了試誘；心靈固然切願着，肉體卻軟弱。』他第二次又去，禱告說：『我父啊，這杯若不能離開我，非我喝它不行，就願你的旨意成全。』又來，見他們睡着，因為他們的眼睛發沉。

我卻聽見他說話的聲音；我一聽見他說話的聲音，就伏臉、昏昏沉睡——臉伏至地。

摩西說：『求你將你的榮耀給我看看。』永恆主說：『我要讓我的一切美善在你面前經過，並將我的名永恆主「耶和華」在你面前宣告出來；我要恩待誰，就恩待誰；我要憐憫誰，就憐憫誰。但是』他說：『你不能看我的面；因為人不能看我的面還能活着。』永恆主說：『看哪，我這裏有個地方；你要立在磐石上。我的榮耀經過的時候，我要將你放在磐石隙中，用我的手掌遮着你，等我過去。然後我要將我的手掌挪開，你就看見我的背後；我的臉面呢、是不可給人看見的。』

必見他的聖容；必有他的名字在他們的額上。必不再有黑夜；他們也不需要燈光或日光，因為主上帝必做他們的光。他們必掌王權、世世無窮。

我們從前將我們主耶穌基督的大能力和御臨的事告訴你們，並不是隨從乖巧揑造的荒唐傳說，我們乃是親眼見過他威榮的人。

起來，發光哦！因為你的光已經來到，永恆主的榮耀已經昇現照耀着你。因為你看，黑暗遮蓋着大地呢，幽暗籠罩着萬國之民呢；但永恆主卻要昇現照耀着你，他的榮耀必顯現來照着你。萬國必來就你的光，列王必來就你昇現之光輝。
