道成了肉身，住在我們中間，充充滿滿地有恩典有真理。我們也見過他的榮光，正是父獨生子的榮光。

他與我說話的時候，我面伏在地沉睡；他就摸我，扶我站起來，

禱告完了，就起來，到門徒那裏，見他們因為憂愁都睡着了，就對他們說：「你們為甚麼睡覺呢？起來禱告，免得入了迷惑！」

日頭不再作你白晝的光；月亮也不再發光照耀你。耶和華卻要作你永遠的光；你神要為你的榮耀。

父啊，我在哪裏，願你所賜給我的人也同我在那裏，叫他們看見你所賜給我的榮耀；因為創立世界以前，你已經愛我了。

來到門徒那裏，見他們睡着了，就對彼得說：「怎麼樣？你們不能同我警醒片時嗎？總要警醒禱告，免得入了迷惑。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」第二次又去禱告說：「我父啊，這杯若不能離開我，必要我喝，就願你的意旨成全。」又來，見他們睡着了，因為他們的眼睛困倦。

我卻聽見他說話的聲音，一聽見就面伏在地沉睡了。

摩西說：「求你顯出你的榮耀給我看。」耶和華說：「我要顯我一切的恩慈，在你面前經過，宣告我的名。我要恩待誰就恩待誰；要憐憫誰就憐憫誰」；又說：「你不能看見我的面，因為人見我的面不能存活。」耶和華說：「看哪，在我這裏有地方，你要站在磐石上。我的榮耀經過的時候，我必將你放在磐石穴中，用我的手遮掩你，等我過去，然後我要將我的手收回，你就得見我的背，卻不得見我的面。」

也要見他的面。他的名字必寫在他們的額上。不再有黑夜；他們也不用燈光、日光，因為主神要光照他們。他們要作王，直到永永遠遠。

我們從前將我們主耶穌基督的大能和他降臨的事告訴你們，並不是隨從乖巧捏造的虛言，乃是親眼見過他的威榮。

興起，發光！因為你的光已經來到！耶和華的榮耀發現照耀你。看哪，黑暗遮蓋大地，幽暗遮蓋萬民，耶和華卻要顯現照耀你；他的榮耀要現在你身上。萬國要來就你的光；君王要來就你發現的光輝。
