耶穌又對眾人說：『人若想要跟着我，就當棄絕自己，天天拿起他的十字架來跟從我。

又謂眾曰、欲從我者、當克己日負其十架以從、

亦謂眾曰、欲為吾徒、則當克己、日負十字架以從、

又謂眾曰、人欲從我、則當克己、日負其十字架而從我、

耶穌諭眾曰：『人欲從予、務宜克己、日負其十字架、而隨予後。

Then he said to them all:“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Then he said to all of them,“ Whoever wants to follow me must say no to themselves. They must pick up their cross every day and follow me.

And he said to all,“ If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Then he said to the crowd,“ If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.

Then he said to them all,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

And He was saying to them all,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Then He said to them all,“ If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

And he said unto all, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Then He said to them all,“ If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

And he said to[ them] all, If any[ man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Then he said to them all,“ If anyone wants to become my follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

He said to all,“ If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

不拿着自己的十字架來跟從我的，也配不起我。獲得性命的，乃失掉性命；為了我的緣故失掉性命的，乃獲得性命。

『人來找我，除非少愛自己的父親、母親、妻子、弟兄、姐妹、甚至於自己的性命、就不能做我的門徒。凡不背着自己的十字架來跟着我的，不能做我的門徒。

於是呼召羣眾同門徒，對他們說：『人若想要跟着我，就當棄絕自己，拿起他的十字架來跟從我。因為凡想要救自己性命的、必失掉真性命；凡為我和福音的緣故失掉自己性命的、必救得真性命。人贏得全世界，而賠上了自己的性命，有甚麼益處呢？人能拿出甚麼來對換自己的性命呢？在這淫亂有罪的世代、凡以我和我的為可恥的，人子帶着他父的榮耀和聖天使來臨的時候、也必以那人為可恥。』

因為你們若順着肉體而活，就必死；若順着靈治死你們身體上的行為，就必活。

惜愛自己性命的、必失掉性命；不惜愛自己性命在這世界上的、必保守性命歸永生。人若服事我，就該跟從我；我在哪裏，我的僕役也必在哪裏。人若服事我，我父必尊重他。

正教督我們棄絕不虔的心和屬世的私慾，在現今世按克己正義和敬虔而生活，

所以你們要看這在地上的肢體為死了的：就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾、和貪婪、（就是一種的拜偶像）。

是的，凡立志要在基督耶穌裏敬虔度生活的、都會遭受到逼迫的。

彼得便拉他到旁邊，諫諍他說：『主啊，千萬不可；這事決不可以臨到你！』耶穌轉過身來，對彼得說：『撒但退去！你是我的障礙；因為你不意念着上帝的事，卻意念着人的事。』於是耶穌對門徒說：『人若想要跟着我，就當棄絕自己，拿起他的十字架來跟從我。因為凡想要救自己性命的，必失掉真性命；凡為我失掉自己性命的，必得着真性命。

我們呢、又為甚麼時時刻刻冒險呢？弟兄們，我指着我為你們所誇耀的、就是我們在我們主基督耶穌裏所有的誇耀、鄭重地說，我天天死。
