耶稣又对众人说：“如果有人愿意跟从我，就当舍己，天天背起他的十字架来跟从我。

又謂眾曰、欲從我者、當克己日負其十架以從、

亦謂眾曰、欲為吾徒、則當克己、日負十字架以從、

又謂眾曰、人欲從我、則當克己、日負其十字架而從我、

耶穌諭眾曰：『人欲從予、務宜克己、日負其十字架、而隨予後。

Then he said to them all:“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Then he said to all of them,“ Whoever wants to follow me must say no to themselves. They must pick up their cross every day and follow me.

And he said to all,“ If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Then he said to the crowd,“ If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.

Then he said to them all,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

And He was saying to them all,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Then He said to them all,“ If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

And he said unto all, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Then He said to them all,“ If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

And he said to[ them] all, If any[ man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Then he said to them all,“ If anyone wants to become my follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

He said to all,“ If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

凡不背起自己的十字架来跟从我的，也不配作属我的。顾惜自己生命的，必要丧掉生命；但为我牺牲生命的，必要得着生命。

“如果有人到我这里来，爱我不超过爱（“爱我不超过爱”原文作“不恨”）自己的父母、妻子、儿女、兄弟、姊妹，甚至自己的性命，就不能作我的门徒。凡不背着自己的十字架跟随我的，也不能作我的门徒。

于是把众人和门徒都叫过来，对他们说：“如果有人愿意跟从我，就应当舍己，背起他的十字架来跟从我。凡是想救自己生命的，必丧掉生命；但为我和福音牺牲生命的，必救了生命。人就是赚得全世界，却赔上自己的生命，有什么好处呢？人还能用什么换回自己的生命呢？在淫乱罪恶的世代，凡把我和我的道当作可耻的，人子在他父的荣耀里，和圣天使一起降临的时候，也必把他当作可耻的。”

如果随着肉体而活，你们必定死；如果靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行，你们就必活着。

爱惜自己生命的，就丧掉生命；在这世上恨恶自己生命的，必会保全生命到永远。如果有人服事我，就应当跟从我；我在哪里，服事我的人也会在哪里；如果有人服事我，我父必尊重他。

这恩典训练我们除去不敬虔的心，和属世的私欲，在今生过着自律、公正、敬虔的生活，

所以要治死你们在地上的肢体，就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪心，贪心就是拜偶像。

其实，所有立志在基督耶稣里过敬虔生活的，都必遭受迫害。

彼得就把他拉到一边，责怪他说：“主啊，千万不可这样，这事一定不会发生在你身上的。”耶稣转过来对彼得说：“撒但！退到我后面去！你是绊脚石，因为你不思念神的事，只思念人的事。”于是耶稣对门徒说：“如果有人愿意跟从我，就当舍己，背起他的十字架来跟从我。凡是想救自己生命的，必丧掉生命；但为我牺牲生命的，必得着生命。

我们又为什么时刻冒险呢？弟兄们，我是天天冒死的，这是我凭着我在我们的主耶稣基督里，因你们而夸口说的。
