耶穌又說：“我要把這世代的人比作甚麼呢？他們好像甚麼呢？

『這樣、我要用甚麼來比擬這世代的人呢？他們好像甚麼呢？

主又說：「我要把這世代的人比做什麼呢？他們好比什麼呢？

又曰、斯世之人、我何以比之、其何似耶、

主曰、斯世之人、將何以比之、又以何譬譬之耶、

主又曰、有原文抄本無此句斯世之人、我將何以喻之、彼何似也、

『夫斯代之人、予將何以擬之、彼亦何所似乎？

Jesus went on to say,“ To what, then, can I compare the people of this generation? What are they like?

“ But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their companions,and saying:‘ We played the flute for you, And you did not dance; We mourned to you, And you did not lament.’For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say,‘ He has a demon.’The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,‘ Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”

How shall I console you? To what shall I liken you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare with you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your ruin is spread wide as the sea; Who can heal you?

Then He said,“ To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it?
