爾之去也、果欲何睹？將身被錦繡者乎？被華服而酖晏樂者、惟宮中有焉。

爾之飾、毋在外、如辮髮、佩金、衣美衣、乃在溫柔恬靜之性、隱之於心、不可壞者、此在上帝前為至寶、

以公義為護胸、以拯救為兜鍪、以復仇為衵服、以熱中為長衣、

越至三日、以斯帖衣朝服、立於王宮內院、在王宮相對之所、王在宮中坐其位、對於門、

筵席之餚饌、羣臣之坐次、眾僕之侍立、與其服飾、及其酒政、暨陞耶和華室之階、則神為之奪、

曰、身衣毛衣、腰束革帶、王曰、是乃提斯比人以利亞也、

末底改衣朝服、厥色藍白、首冠大金冕、外衣赤枲袍、出自王前、書珊邑民、歡呼喜樂、

今僕年八十、所食所飲、豈能知其味、辨其美惡乎、男女謳歌、豈能聞其聲乎、何為累我主我王、

夫約翰身衣駝毛、腰束皮帶、食則蝗蟲野蜜、

三年、宴諸牧伯、臣僕、各州之顯者、及方伯、即波斯瑪代之權貴、咸在其前、

請王后瓦實提戴后冕至王前、使庶民諸伯得見其美、蓋后有殊色也、

我語汝、當所羅門榮華之極、所衣不及此花之一也、

及御門而止、因衣麻者不可入也、
