Then looking up at His disciples, He said: You who are poor are blessed, because the kingdom of God is yours.

耶穌抬頭望著門徒，對他們說：「貧窮的人有福了，因為上帝的國屬於你們！

耶穌抬頭看著門徒，說：“貧窮的人有福了，因為神的國是你們的。

耶穌舉目看他的門徒，就說；『貧窮的人有福啊！因為上帝的國是你們的。

耶穌舉目看著他的門徒們，說：「貧乏的人是蒙福的，因為神的國是你們的。

耶穌舉目視其徒曰、爾貧者福矣、以上帝國為爾有也、

耶穌舉目視門徒曰、貧者福矣、以上帝國乃爾所有也、

耶穌舉目視門徒曰、爾貧者福矣、以天主之國、乃爾之國也、

耶穌舉目視諸徒曰：『福哉爾貧者、天國爾曹屬。

Looking at his disciples, he said:“ Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Jesus looked at his disciples. He said to them,“ Blessed are you who are needy. God’s kingdom belongs to you.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said:“ Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said,“ God blesses you who are poor, for the Kingdom of God is yours.

Then looking up at his disciples, he said: Blessed are you who are poor, because the kingdom of God is yours.

And He raised His eyes toward His disciples and began saying,“ Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:“ Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed are ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed[ be ye] poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Then he looked up at his disciples and said:“ Blessed are you who are poor, for the kingdom of God belongs to you.

He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said,“ Blessed are you who are poor, God’s Kingdom is yours.

Then looking up at His disciples, He said: You who are poor are blessed, because the kingdom of God is yours.You who are now hungry are blessed, because you will be filled. You who now weep are blessed, because you will laugh.You are blessed when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you, and slander your name as evil because of the Son of Man.“ Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! Take note— your reward is great in heaven, for this is the way their ancestors used to treat the prophets.But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your comfort.

Listen, my dear brothers: Didn’t God choose the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that He has promised to those who love Him?

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ: Though He was rich, for your sake He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich.

Don’t be afraid, little flock, because your Father delights to give you the kingdom.

Then the King will say to those on His right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

I know your affliction and poverty, yet you are rich. I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

The brother of humble circumstances should boast in his exaltation,but the one who is rich should boast in his humiliation because he will pass away like a flower of the field.

as grieving yet always rejoicing; as poor yet enriching many; as having nothing yet possessing everything.

The humble will have joy after joy in the Lord, and the poor people will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

I will leave a meek and humble people among you, and they will take refuge in the name of Yahweh.

Then He began to teach them, saying:“ The poor in spirit are blessed, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.Those who mourn are blessed, for they will be comforted.The gentle are blessed, for they will inherit the earth.Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they will be filled.The merciful are blessed, for they will be shown mercy.The pure in heart are blessed, for they will see God.The peacemakers are blessed, for they will be called sons of God.Those who are persecuted for righteousness are blessed, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.“ You are blessed when they insult and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of Me.Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

It is a clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment that you will be counted worthy of God’s kingdom, for which you also are suffering,

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the garbage pilein order to seat them with nobles— with the nobles of His people.

Brothers, consider your calling: Not many are wise from a human perspective, not many powerful, not many of noble birth.Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong.God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world— what is viewed as nothing— to bring to nothing what is viewed as something,so that no one can boast in His presence.

“‘ Son,’ Abraham said,‘ remember that during your life you received your good things, just as Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here, while you are in agony.

The little that the righteous man has is better than the abundance of many wicked people.

Better a poor man who lives with integrity than someone who has deceitful lips and is a fool.

A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

For the High and Exalted One who lives forever, whose name is Holy says this:“ I live in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the oppressed.For I will not accuse you forever, and I will not always be angry; for then the spirit would grow weak before Me, even the breath of man, which I have made.

Better to be lowly of spirit with the humble than to divide plunder with the proud.

and you became imitators of us and of the Lord when, in spite of severe persecution, you welcomed the message with joy from the Holy Spirit.

My hand made all these things, and so they all came into being. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will look favorably on this kind of person: one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and trembles at My word.

When one of those who reclined at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him,“ The one who will eat bread in the kingdom of God is blessed!”

And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said,“ Here are My mother and My brothers!For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, that person is My brother and sister and mother.”

strengthening the disciples by encouraging them to continue in the faith and by telling them,“ It is necessary to pass through many troubles on our way into the kingdom of God.”

So no one should boast in human leaders, for everything is yours—whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come— everything is yours,and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed,

Have any of the rulers or Pharisees believed in Him?But this crowd, which doesn’t know the law, is accursed!”

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the garbage pile. He seats them with noblemen and gives them a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; He has set the world on them.

During a severe testing by affliction, their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed into the wealth of their generosity.

It was annulled on that day, and so the afflicted of the flock who were watching me knew that it was the word of the Lord.

There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in that place, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves thrown out.

the blind see, the lame walk, those with skin diseases are healed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news.

And looking about at those who were sitting in a circle around Him, He said,“ Here are My mother and My brothers!Whoever does the will of God is My brother and sister and mother.”
