有一个安息日，耶稣从麦田经过。他的门徒走路的时候，摘起麦穗来。法利赛人对耶稣说：“看哪！他们为什么做安息日不合法的事呢？”耶稣对他们说：“大卫和跟从他的人饥饿需要食物时所做的事，你们没有念过吗？他在亚比亚他作大祭司的时候，怎么进了神的居所，吃了供饼，又给跟从他的人吃呢？这饼除了祭司以外，人都不可以吃。”他又对他们说：“安息日是为人设立的，人不是为安息日设立的。所以，人子也是安息日的主。”

那时，耶稣在安息日从麦田经过。他的门徒饿了，就摘麦穗来吃。法利赛人看见，对耶稣说：“看哪，你的门徒在安息日做不合法的事了。”耶稣对他们说：“大卫和跟从他的人饥饿时所做的事，你们没有念过吗？他怎么进了神的居所，吃了供饼呢？这饼是他和跟从他的人不可以吃的，惟独祭司才可以吃。再者，律法上所记的，在安息日，祭司在圣殿里犯了安息日也不算有罪，你们没有念过吗？但我告诉你们，比圣殿更大的在这里。‘我喜爱怜悯，不喜爱祭祀。’你们若明白这话的意思，就不将无罪的当作有罪了。因为人子是安息日的主。”

第一日要有圣会，任何劳动的工都不可做；

“你要吩咐以色列人，对他们说：你们到了我赐给你们的地，收割庄稼的时候，要把初熟庄稼中的一捆拿来给祭司。他要把这捆在耶和华面前摇一摇，使你们蒙悦纳。祭司要在安息日的次日把这捆摇一摇。

你们要吃无酵饼七日。第一日要把酵从你们各家中除去，因为从第一日到第七日，任何吃有酵之物的，必从以色列中剪除。

“你们要从安息日的次日，就是献那捆庄稼为摇祭的那日起，计算足足的七个安息日。

“你要计算七个七日：从你用镰刀开始收割庄稼时算起，一共七个七日。
