Then the high priest tore his clothes and said,“ He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. (niv)

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said,“ I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. (niv)

May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the Lord driving them away; (niv)

anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death. The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native- born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death. (niv)

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. (niv)

You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. (niv)

The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him; (niv)
