One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.And they straightway left[ their] nets, and followed him.And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James[ the son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the[ son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain,[ even] the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:

And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:

And[ Jesus] went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast[ thereof], from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain,[ even] the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.

And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press[ thee], and sayest thou, Who touched me?
