They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff.

我將在神那裏所聽見的真理告訴了你們，現在你們卻想要殺我，這不是亞伯拉罕所行的事。

喊叫說：「以色列人來幫助，這就是在各處教訓眾人糟踐我們百姓和律法，並這地方的。他又帶着希臘人進殿，污穢了這聖地。」（這話是因他們曾看見以弗所人特羅非摩同保羅在城裏，以為保羅帶他進了殿。）合城都震動，百姓一齊跑來，拿住保羅，拉他出殿，殿門立刻都關了。他們正想要殺他，有人報信給營裏的千夫長說：「耶路撒冷合城都亂了。」千夫長立時帶着兵丁和幾個百夫長，跑下去到他們那裏。他們見了千夫長和兵丁，就止住不打保羅。

我若沒有在他們中間行過別人未曾行的事，他們就沒有罪；但如今連我與我的父，他們也看見也恨惡了。這要應驗他們律法上所寫的話，說：『他們無故地恨我。』

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「總要把那人治死；全會眾要在營外用石頭把他打死。」

我知道你們是亞伯拉罕的子孫，你們卻想要殺我，因為你們心裏容不下我的道。

惡人已經弓上弦，刀出鞘，要打倒困苦窮乏的人，要殺害行動正直的人。

所以，耶穌要用自己的血叫百姓成聖，也就在城門外受苦。

眾人大聲喊叫，摀着耳朵，齊心擁上前去，把他推到城外，用石頭打他。作見證的人把衣裳放在一個少年人名叫掃羅的腳前。

打了許多棍，便將他們下在監裏，囑咐禁卒嚴緊看守。禁卒領了這樣的命，就把他們下在內監裏，兩腳上了木狗。

猶大人又生擒了一萬帶到山崖上，從那裏把他們扔下去，以致他們都摔碎了。
