Jesus said to them,“ Surely you will quote this proverb to me:‘ Physician, heal yourself!’ And you will tell me,‘ Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.’”

耶稣对他们说：“你们必引这俗语向我说：‘医生，你医治自己吧！我们听见你在迦百农所行的事，也当行在你自己家乡里’”；

耶稣对他们说：“你们肯定会把这句俗话用在我身上，说，‘医生啊，治好你自己吧！你在迦百农所行的一切，我们都听说了，也在你家乡行给我们看吧！’

他说：“你们必向我说这俗语：‘医生，治好你自己吧！’也必说：‘我们听见你在迦百农所行的一切事，也该在你本乡这里行啊！’”

耶稣对他们说：“你们一定会用这句谚语对我说：‘医生啊，使你自己痊愈吧！’，‘我们听见在迦百农所发生的事，你在你的家乡这里也应该做！’”

耶穌對他們說：「你們必引這俗語向我說：『醫生，你醫治自己吧！我們聽見你在迦百農所行的事，也當行在你自己家鄉裏』」；

耶穌對他們說：「你們一定會用這俗語向我說：『醫生，你醫治自己吧！我們聽見你在迦百農所做的事，也該在你自己的家鄉做吧。』」

耶穌對他們說：「你們一定會用這俗語向我說：『醫生，你醫治自己吧！我們聽見你在迦百農所做的事，也該在你自己的家鄉做吧。』」

耶穌對他們說：「你們肯定會把這句俗話用在我身上，說，『醫生啊，治好你自己吧！你在迦百農所行的一切，我們都聽說了，也在你家鄉行給我們看吧！』

他說：“你們必向我說這俗語：‘醫生，治好你自己吧！’也必說：‘我們聽見你在迦百農所行的一切事，也該在你本鄉這裡行啊！’”

耶穌對他們說：『你們一定會引這句俗語對我說：「醫生啊，治好你自己吧！」「凡我們聽見你在迦伯農所行的事，你也該在這裏、在你的家鄉行啊！」』

耶穌對他們說：「你們一定會用這句諺語對我說：『醫生啊，使你自己痊癒吧！』，『我們聽見在迦百農所發生的事，你在你的家鄉這裡也應該做！』」

耶穌曰：『爾等必引諺以責予曰：「為醫者、盍先自醫；吾聞汝在葛法農多行奇迹、亦宜行之於故鄉也。」』

Jesus said,“ Here is a saying you will certainly apply to me.‘ Doctor, heal yourself!’ And you will tell me this.‘ Do the things here in your hometown that we heard you did in Capernaum.’ ”

And he said to them,“ Doubtless you will quote to me this proverb,‘“ Physician, heal yourself.” What we have heard you did at Capernaum, do here in your hometown as well.’”

Then he said,“ You will undoubtedly quote me this proverb:‘ Physician, heal yourself’— meaning,‘ Do miracles here in your hometown like those you did in Capernaum.’

Then he said to them,“ No doubt you will quote this proverb to me:‘ Doctor, heal yourself. What we’ve heard that took place in Capernaum, do here in your hometown also.’”

And He said to them,“ No doubt you will quote this proverb to Me:‘ Physician, heal yourself! All the miracles that we heard were done in Capernaum, do here in your hometown as well.’ ”

He said to them,“ You will surely say this proverb to Me,‘ Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’”

And he said unto them, Doubtless ye will say unto me this parable, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in thine own country.

Then He said to them,“ No doubt you will quote this proverb to Me:‘ Doctor, heal yourself. So all we’ve heard that took place in Capernaum, do here in Your hometown also.’”

And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.

Jesus said to them,“ No doubt you will quote to me the proverb,‘ Physician, heal yourself!’ and say,‘ What we have heard that you did in Capernaum, do here in your hometown too.’”

He said to them,“ Doubtless you will tell me this parable,‘ Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.’”

Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples.

Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali—

you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades. For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out,“ What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are— the Holy One of God!”“ Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly.“ Come out of him!”The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.The people were all so amazed that they asked each other,“ What is this? A new teaching— and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.”News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.

Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed.“ Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked.

Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.“ Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him,“ you will never believe.”The royal official said,“ Sir, come down before my child dies.”“ Go,” Jesus replied,“ your son will live.” The man took Jesus at his word and departed.While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living.When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him,“ Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.”Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him,“ Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed.

When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him,“ They have no more wine.”“ Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied.“ My hour has not yet come.”

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read,

“ Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”“ Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?”

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,

A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home.They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them.Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them.Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man,“ Son, your sins are forgiven.”Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves,“ Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them,“ Why are you thinking these things?Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man,‘ Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say,‘ Get up, take your mat and walk’?But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man,“ I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying,“ We have never seen anything like this!”

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

Jesus’ brothers said to him,“ Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do.No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.”
