心里有智慧的，被称为有悟性的人；嘴唇的甘甜，使人增添学问。

他来到自己的家乡，在他们的会堂里教导人，以致他们惊叹不已，说：“这个人的这种智慧和能力是从哪里来的呢？这不就是那木匠的儿子吗？他的母亲不是叫玛丽亚吗？他的弟弟们不是雅各、约西、西门和犹大吗？他的妹妹们不是都和我们在一起的吗？那么，他这一切是从哪里来的呢？”

你比世人更美，恩惠浇灌在你的嘴唇上，因此神祝福你，直到永远。

主耶和华赐给了我门徒的口舌，使我知道怎样用话语扶助疲乏的人。他每天清晨唤醒我，唤醒我的耳朵，使我能像门徒那样地听。

到了安息日，他开始在会堂里教导人。许多人听了就惊叹不已，说：“这个人从哪里得来这些呢？赐给这个人的到底是什么样的智慧？藉着他的手所行出来的到底是怎么样的神迹？这不就是那木匠吗？不就是玛丽亚的儿子，雅各、约西、犹大和西门的哥哥吗？他的妹妹们不也和我们在这里吗？”这样，他们就对耶稣很反感。

要用无可指责的健全话语，使反对的人在我们的事上因没有坏话可说，就感到羞愧。

传道者竭力寻求可喜悦的话语，写下正直的真理之言。智慧人的话语如同刺棒，编集者的语录像钉牢的钉子，都是那一位牧者所赐的。

但司提反以智慧和圣灵说话，他们就抵挡不住。

差役们回答：“从来没有人像这个人那样讲话！”

话说得合宜，就如金苹果镶在银器上。

所有听他讲说的人，都对他的悟性和对答十分惊讶。

因为我将赐给你们口才和智慧，是所有反对你们的人都不能抵挡、不能驳倒的。

义人的嘴，知道说合宜的话；恶人的口，只会说荒谬的事。

为真理、谦卑和公义的缘故，带着你的威严乘胜前进！愿你的右手向你显明可畏的事！
