看哪，主万军之耶和华以惊吓削去树枝；长高的必被砍下，高大的必被伐倒。稠密的树林，他要用铁器砍下；黎巴嫩的树木必被大能者伐倒。

大声呼叫说：‘伐倒这树！砍下枝子！摇掉叶子！抛散果子！使走兽离开树下，飞鸟躲开树枝。

“人子啊，葡萄树比别样树有什么强处？葡萄枝比众树枝有什么好处？其上可以取木料做什么工用，可以取来做钉子挂什么器皿吗？看哪，已经抛在火中当作柴烧，火既烧了两头，中间也被烧了，还有益于工用吗？

人干犯摩西的律法，凭两三个见证人，尚且不得怜恤而死，

因为日子要到，人必说：‘不生育的，和未曾怀胎的，未曾乳养婴孩的，有福了！’那时，人要向大山说：‘倒在我们身上！’向小山说：‘遮盖我们！’“这些事既行在有汁水的树上，那枯干的树将来怎么样呢？”
