John responded to them all, saying,“ As for me, I baptize you with water; but He is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the straps of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying to all,“ I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:

約翰是用水施洗，但不多幾日，你們要受聖靈的洗。」

我先前不認識他，只是那差我來用水施洗的、對我說：『你看見聖靈降下來，住在誰的身上，誰就是用聖靈施洗的。』

我是用水給你們施洗，叫你們悔改。但那在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是給他提鞋也不配。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

保羅說：「約翰所行的是悔改的洗，告訴百姓當信那在他以後要來的，就是耶穌。」他們聽見這話，就奉主耶穌的名受洗。

約翰回答說：「我是用水施洗，但有一位站在你們中間，是你們不認識的，

我們不拘是猶太人，是希臘人，是為奴的，是自主的，都從一位聖靈受洗，成了一個身體，飲於一位聖靈。

他來的日子，誰能當得起呢？他顯現的時候，誰能立得住呢？因為他如煉金之人的火，如漂布之人的鹼。他必坐下如煉淨銀子的，必潔淨利未人，熬煉他們像金銀一樣；他們就憑公義獻供物給耶和華。

又有舌頭如火焰顯現出來，分開落在他們各人頭上。他們就都被聖靈充滿，按着聖靈所賜的口才說起別國的話來。

以後，我要將我的靈澆灌凡有血氣的。你們的兒女要說預言；你們的老年人要做異夢，少年人要見異象。在那些日子，我要將我的靈澆灌我的僕人和使女。

信我的人就如經上所說：『從他腹中要流出活水的江河來。』」

在他沒有出來以先，約翰向以色列眾民宣講悔改的洗禮。約翰將行盡他的程途說：『你們以為我是誰？我不是基督；只是有一位在我以後來的，我解他腳上的鞋帶也是不配的。』

我要使這三分之一經火，熬煉他們，如熬煉銀子；試煉他們，如試煉金子。他們必求告我的名，我必應允他們。我要說：這是我的子民。他們也要說：耶和華是我們的神。

他傳道說：「有一位在我以後來的，能力比我更大，我就是彎腰給他解鞋帶也是不配的。我是用水給你們施洗，他卻要用聖靈給你們施洗。」

我必用清水灑在你們身上，你們就潔淨了。我要潔淨你們，使你們脫離一切的污穢，棄掉一切的偶像。

因為我要將水澆灌口渴的人，將河澆灌乾旱之地。我要將我的靈澆灌你的後裔，將我的福澆灌你的子孫。他們要發生在草中，像溪水旁的柳樹。

等到聖靈從上澆灌我們，曠野就變為肥田，肥田看如樹林。

你們當因我的責備回轉；我要將我的靈澆灌你們，將我的話指示你們。

彼得還說這話的時候，聖靈降在一切聽道的人身上。

他既被神的右手高舉，又從父受了所應許的聖靈，就把你們所看見所聽見的，澆灌下來。

神說：在末後的日子，我要將我的靈澆灌凡有血氣的。你們的兒女要說預言；你們的少年人要見異象；老年人要做異夢。在那些日子，我要將我的靈澆灌我的僕人和使女，他們就要說預言。
