A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said,“ This man was with him.”

Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at him, said,“ This man also was with him.”

A servant girl noticed him in the firelight and began staring at him. Finally she said,“ This man was one of Jesus’ followers!”

When a servant saw him sitting in the light, and looked closely at him, she said,“ This man was with him too.”

And a slave woman, seeing him as he sat in the firelight, and staring at him, said,“ This man was with Him as well.”

And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said,“ This man was also with Him.”

And a certain maid seeing him as he sat in the light of the fire, and looking stedfastly upon him, said, This man also was with him.

Peter was below in the courtyard. One of the high priest’s female servants came by.When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked closely at him.“ You also were with Jesus, that Nazarene,” she said.But Peter said he had not been with him.“ I don’t know or understand what you’re talking about,” he said. He went out to the entrance to the courtyard.

“ Leave her alone,” Jesus said.“ Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me.

Peter was sitting out in the courtyard. A female servant came to him.“ You also were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said.

When evening came, Jesus arrived with the 12 disciples.

She asked Peter,“ You aren’t one of Jesus’ disciples too, are you?”“ I am not,” he replied.
