On reaching the place, he said to them,“ Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”

When they reached the place, Jesus spoke.“ Pray that you won’t fall into sin when you are tempted,” he said to them.

And when he came to the place, he said to them,“ Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

There he told them,“ Pray that you will not give in to temptation.”

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto his disciples, Sit ye here, while I go yonder and pray.And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and sore troubled.Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.Again a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cannot pass away, except I drink it, thy will be done.And he came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.And he left them again, and went away, and prayed a third time, saying again the same words.Then cometh he to the disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.Arise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that betrayeth me.

And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch.Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

And forgive us our sins; for we ourselves also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And bring us not into temptation.

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me: Then shall I be upright, And I shall be clear from great transgression.

Because thou didst keep the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of trial, that hour which is to come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

My steps have held fast to thy paths, My feet have not slipped.

Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested.

Establish my footsteps in thy word; And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Remove far from me falsehood and lies; Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is needful for me:Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is Jehovah? Or lest I be poor, and steal, And use profanely the name of my God.

Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live; And let me not be ashamed of my hope.Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe, And shall have respect unto thy statutes continually.
