The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother.In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh.After them all, the woman died.In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her.”But Jesus answered them,“ You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,‘ I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.

God said moreover to Moses,“ You shall tell the children of Israel this,‘ Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

so that I come again to my father’s house in peace, and Yahweh will be my God,

for the precious things of the earth and its fullness, the good will of him who lived in the bush. Let this come on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers.

Behold, Yahweh stood above it, and said,“ I am Yahweh, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. I will give the land you lie on to you and to your offspring.
