Show me a denarius. Whose image and superscription hath it? And they said, Cæsar’s.

“拿一个银币给我看。这上面是谁的像和名号？”他们说：“是凯撒的。”

「拿一個銀錢來給我看。這像和這號是誰的？」他們說：「是凱撒的。」

「拿一個銀幣來給我看。這像和這名號是誰的？」他們說：「是凱撒的。」

「拿一個銀幣來給我看。這像和這名號是誰的？」他們說：「是凱撒的。」

就叫他們拿一個銀幣來，問他們：「上面刻的是誰的像和名號？」他們說：「凱撒的。」

“給我一個銀幣看看，上面是誰的像，誰的名號？”他們說：“凱撒的。”

『把個「一日工錢」幣指給我看；這錢幣有誰的像和標號？』他們說：『有該撒的。』

以一錢示我、是像與號為誰、曰、該撒、

將一金錢、與我觀之、是像與號誰乎、對曰、該撒、

取一第拿流、予我觀之、是像與號屬誰、曰、屬該撒、

且以銀幣示我！夫此為誰氏之像號？』曰：『凱撒也。』

“ Show me a silver coin. Whose picture and words are on it?”“ Caesar’s,” they replied.

“ Show me a Roman coin. Whose picture and title are stamped on it?”“ Caesar’s,” they replied.

But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow- servants, who owed him a hundred shillings: and he laid hold on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay what thou owest.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this man perverting our nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cæsar, and saying that he himself is Christ a king.

All the saints salute you, especially they that are of Cæsar’s household.

And Agrippa said unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Cæsar.

while Paul said in his defence, Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Cæsar, have I sinned at all.But Festus, desiring to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?But Paul said, I am standing before Cæsar’s judgment- seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou also very well knowest.If then I am a wrong- doer, and have committed anything worthy of death, I refuse not to die; but if none of those things is true whereof these accuse me, no man can give me up unto them. I appeal unto Cæsar.Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Thou hast appealed unto Cæsar: unto Cæsar shalt thou go.

And when he had agreed with the laborers for a shilling a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be a great famine over all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius.

Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Cæsar, or not?
