Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Blessed[ be] the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

And he took them up in his arms, put[ his] hands upon them, and blessed them.

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all[ ye that are] upright in heart.Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous:[ for] praise is comely for the upright.

And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.
