“‘但我从你身旁经过，见你在血中挣扎。那时，你躺在血中，我对你说：要活下去（《马索拉文本》重复一遍“那时，你躺在血中，我对你说：要活下去”，现参照其他抄本和古译本翻译）。

有一个撒玛利亚妇人来打水。耶稣对她说：“请给我水喝。”那时，他的门徒都进城买食物去了。撒玛利亚妇人对耶稣说：“你是犹太人，怎么向我，一个撒玛利亚妇人要水喝呢？”（原来犹太人和撒玛利亚人不相往来。）耶稣回答她：“你若知道神的恩赐，和对你说‘请给我水喝’的是谁，你必早已求他，他也必早把活水赐给你了。”

黄昏的时候，那两位天使到了所多玛，当时罗得正坐在所多玛的城门口。罗得一看见他们，就起来迎接他们，俯伏在地，说：“我主啊，请你们到仆人的家里住一夜，洗洗你们的脚，清早起来再赶路。”他们回答：“不，我们要在街上过夜。”但由于罗得再三的请求，他们才肯跟他回去，进了他的家。罗得为他们预备了筵席，烤了无酵饼，他们就吃了。

说：“我主啊，我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你不要离开你的仆人。让我叫人拿点水来，你们可以洗洗脚，然后在树下歇一歇。让我拿点饼来给你们吃，使你们可以恢复精力，然后再走，因为你们既然到了仆人这里来，就应该这样。”他们说：“就照着你所说的去作。”

耶和华啊！你鉴察了我，你认识我。（本节在《马索拉文本》包括细字标题）我坐下，我起来，你都知道；你在远处就明白我的意念。我行路，我躺卧，你都细察；我的一切行为，你都熟悉。

不要忘了用爱心接待人，有人就是这样作，在无意中就款待了天使。

因为人子来，是要寻找拯救失丧的人。”

使基督藉着你们的信，住在你们心里，使你们既然在爱中扎根建基，

我们这些与神同工的，也劝你们不要白受神的恩典。

凡是你手可作的，都当尽力去作；因为在你所要去的阴间里，既没有工作，又没有筹谋；没有知识，也没有智慧。

我要小心谨慎行正直的路；你什么时候才到我这里来呢？我要在我的家中，以正直的心行事。邪恶的事，我都不摆在眼前；离开正路的人所作的事，我都恨恶，决不容这些沾染我。
