掌家固不義、然其深思遠慮、即其主人、亦不能不為之歎佩。蓋世俗子之所以謀身者、有敏於光明子之所以謀道者焉。

“ The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.

“ The manager had not been honest. But the master praised him for being clever. The people of this world are clever in dealing with those who are like themselves. They are more clever than God’s people.

The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.

“ The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light.

“ The master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the children of this age are more shrewd than the children of light in dealing with their own people.

And his master complimented the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this age are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light.

So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.

And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.

你們從前原是黑暗，但如今在主裡就是光；你們要像屬於光的兒女行走，

因為你們都是光明的兒女，白晝的兒女。我們不屬於黑夜，也不屬於黑暗。

你們要趁著有光的時候信這光，好使你們成為光明的兒女。」耶穌說了這些話，就離開他們被隱藏了。

耶穌對他們說：「這世代的兒女又娶又嫁；

在最小的事上忠心的人，在很多事上也忠心；在最小的事上不義的人，在很多事上也不義。

懶惰的人哪，你當到螞蟻那裡去，觀看牠的行為，得著智慧！螞蟻雖然沒有統領，沒有官長，也沒有管轄者，卻在夏天預備自己的糧食，在收割的時候收集自己的食物。

在耶和華神所造的田野各樣活物中，蛇是最狡猾的。牠對女人說：「難道神真說過，你們不可吃這園子中任何樹上的果實嗎？」

耶和華啊，求你用手使我脫離世人——他們只在今生有份：你用你所儲藏的填滿他們的肚腹；他們也因有兒女而滿足，還把剩餘的留給他們的幼兒。

我知道我該做什麼了，好使我被免除管家的任務以後，人們會接我到他們家裡去。』

他們的結局就是滅亡；他們的神就是自己的私慾；他們的榮耀在自己的羞恥之中；他們所思想的都是地上的事。

從這一點，誰是神的兒女，誰是魔鬼的兒女就清清楚楚了。凡是不行公義的，就不屬於神；不愛自己弟兄的，也不屬於神。

誰都不可自欺！如果你們中間有人自以為在這個世代中是有智慧的，他就應該變為愚拙，好成為有智慧的，

暗嫩有一個朋友，名叫約拿達，是大衛的哥哥示米亞的兒子。約拿達是一個非常精明的人。

彼得回答說：「向外人。」耶穌說：「因此兒女可以免了。

主接著說：「你們當聽這個不公義的審判官所說的！

但你們屬於蒙揀選的族類、君王的祭司體系、聖潔的國度，是屬神的子民；為要使你們宣揚曾召喚你們的那一位的美德——他召喚你們出黑暗，入他奇妙的光明。

要知道，人必看見智慧人也會死；愚昧人和愚拙人一同滅亡，把他們的財富留給別人。他們以為自己的家必存到永遠，他們的住所必存到萬代；他們用自己的名字給土地命名。可是人在尊榮中不能持久，就像要滅亡的牲畜一樣。這就是那些愚昧之人的道路，也是他們之後那些喜悅他們話語之人的道路。細拉他們像註定下到陰間的羊群，死亡將作他們的牧者；到了清晨，正直人將管轄他們。他們的形體必被陰間吞噬，無處容身。然而神將救贖我的靈魂脫離陰間的權勢，他必會把我接去。細拉當有人變得富有，他家中的尊榮增多的時候，你不要害怕，因為他死的時候，什麼都帶不走，他的尊榮也不能隨著他下去。雖然人活著的時候自誇為有福，說：「只要你做得好，人們就會稱讚你」，但他的靈魂卻要歸到他歷代的祖先那裡，永遠不再看到光。
