腓力找到拿但業，對他說：「摩西在律法書上所寫的，和眾先知所記的那一位，我們遇見了，就是約瑟的兒子拿撒勒人耶穌。」

要邊走邊傳，說『天國近了』。

從那時候，耶穌開始宣講，說：「你們要悔改！因為天國近了。」

約翰下監以後，耶穌來到加利利，宣講神的福音，

從撒母耳以來和後繼的眾先知，凡說預言的，也都曾宣告這些日子。你們是先知的子孫，也是神與你們祖宗所立之約的子孫，就是對亞伯拉罕說：『地上萬族都將因你的後裔得福。』

『就是你們城裏的塵土黏在我們的腳上，我們也當着你們擦去。但是，你們該知道神的國臨近了。』

但神藉着眾先知的口預先宣告過基督將要受害的事，就這樣應驗了。

要醫治那城裏的病人，對他們說：『神的國臨近你們了。』

又差遣他們宣講神的國，醫治病人，

亞伯拉罕對他說：『如果他們不聽從摩西和先知的話，就是有人從死人中復活，他們也不會信服的。』」

亞伯拉罕說：『他們有摩西和先知的話可以聽從。』

若讓他這樣做，人人都要信他；羅馬人也要來毀滅我們的聖殿和我們的民族。」

法利賽人彼此說：「你們看，你們一事無成，世人都隨着他去了。」

耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂裏教導人，宣講天國的福音，醫治百姓各樣的疾病。

那人出去，倒說許多的話，把這件事傳揚開了，使耶穌不能再公開進城，只好留在外邊曠野地方，人從各處都到他跟前來。
