So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.

In the same way, you must give up everything you have. Those of you who don’t cannot be my disciple.

So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple.

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not say good-bye to all his possessions cannot be My disciple.

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

In the same way therefore not one of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions.

So therefore whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple.

But whatever things were gain to me, these things I have counted as loss because of Christ.More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,

And he left everything behind, and got up and began following Him.

Peter said,“ Behold, we have left our own homes and followed You.”And He said to them,“ Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,who will not receive many times as much at this time, and in the age to come, eternal life.”

“ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.

Now when Jesus heard this, He said to him,“ One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely wealthy.

But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property,and kept back some of the proceeds for himself, with his wife’s full knowledge, and bringing a portion of it, he laid it at the apostles’ feet.But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land?While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.”And as he heard these words, Ananias collapsed and died; and great fear came over all who heard about it.

saying,“ Give this authority to me as well, so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire the gift of God with money!You have no part or share in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.Therefore, repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart will be forgiven you.

for Demas, having loved this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica; Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
