And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?

於是耶穌問律法師們和法利賽人，說：「在安息日使人痊癒，可以不可以？」

耶穌謂律師與法利賽人曰、安息日施醫宜否、

耶穌謂教法師𠵽唎㘔人曰、安息日施醫、宜乎、眾默然、

耶穌謂教法師及法利賽人曰、安息日醫病可否、

耶穌乃詰經生及法利塞人曰：『禮日治病宜乎？否乎？』眾皆嘿然。

Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”

Jesus turned to the Pharisees and the authorities on the law. He asked them,“ Is it breaking the Law to heal on the Sabbath day?”

And Jesus responded to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?”

Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in religious law,“ Is it permitted in the law to heal people on the Sabbath day, or not?”

In response, Jesus asked the law experts and the Pharisees,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”

And Jesus responded and said to the lawyers and Pharisees,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?”

And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

In response, Jesus asked the law experts and the Pharisees,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”

And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?

So Jesus asked the experts in religious law and the Pharisees,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”

Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

and behold, a man having a withered hand. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? that they might accuse him.

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.But the Lord answered him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, these eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?

And Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it?

If a man receiveth circumcision on the sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken; are ye wroth with me, because I made a man every whit whole on the sabbath?

But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which it is not lawful to do upon the sabbath.

Woe unto you! for ye are as the tombs which appear not, and the men that walk over them know it not.And one of the lawyers answering saith unto him, Teacher, in saying this thou reproachest us also.
