你们这些伪善的人！既然知道观察天色、预测天气，为什么不知道观察这个世代呢？

伪君子啊！你们知道分辨天地的气象，怎么不知道分辨这个时代呢？

你们这些伪善的人！你们懂得分辨天地的气象，怎么不懂得分辨这个时代呢？

『你們要從無花果樹學個比喻：當它的枝子一發嫩長葉時，你們就知道夏天近了。你們也是這樣：你們幾時看見這一切事，就知道他臨近了，在門口了。

說：『巴不得連你也在這日子知道那關於你平安之事哦；無奈已被隱藏、使你的眼看不出來了。因為日子必臨到你，你的仇敵必給你環築起土壘來，周圍環繞你，四面困住你，摔毁你和你裏面你那些兒女，不容你裏面有一塊石頭留在一塊石頭上；因為你認不出你被鑒察的時機。』

以薩迦子孫中通曉時代見識、知道以色列人當怎樣行的、有二百個族長；他們所有的族弟兄都聽從他們的命令。

『關於你本國人民和你的聖城、已經截定了七十個七，為要結束罪過，了結罪惡，除盡罪孽，引進永久的義，印證異象和神言人的話，膏抹至聖之地。你要知道，要明白，從神諭之發出：「恢復並重建耶路撒冷」，直到有受膏之人君的時候、必有七十個七。經歷了六十二個七，耶路撒冷城必得恢復、重新建造，有廣場有濠溝，這又是在困苦時候造的。六十二個七之後，必有一位受膏者要被剪除，而一無所有；必有一位將來的人君的兵眾來毁滅這城和這聖所。其結局必在橫流淹沒中；必有爭戰直到末了；荒涼的事乃是鐵定了的。

但對你們敬畏我名的人、必有義氣之日頭昇現起來照耀你們；它的翅膀、光線、有醫治的效能。你們必騰躍着出來、像出圈的肥牛犢。

從撒母耳以及後繼的眾神言人以來、凡講話的、也都宣佈這些日子。你們呢、乃是神言人們的子孫，又是上帝向你們列祖所立的約的子孫；立約時上帝對亞伯拉罕說：「地上萬家族都必因你的後裔而蒙祝福。」上帝挺生了他的僕人，是差遣他先到你們這裏來，給你們祝福，叫你們各人回轉、離開你們的邪惡的。』
