When he had received the drink, Jesus said,“ It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (niv)

Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them,“ We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to deathand will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him.“ What is it you want?” he asked. She said,“ Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.”“ You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them.“ Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?”“ We can,” they answered. (niv)

“ Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say?‘ Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came from heaven,“ I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” (niv)

They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid. Again he took the Twelve aside and told them what was going to happen to him.“ We are going up to Jerusalem,” he said,“ and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles,who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise.”Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him.“ Teacher,” they said,“ we want you to do for us whatever we ask.”“ What do you want me to do for you?” he asked.They replied,“ Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory.”“ You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said.“ Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?” (niv)

Therefore Jesus told them,“ My time is not yet here; for you any time will do.The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil.You go to the festival. I am not going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come.” (niv)

Jesus commanded Peter,“ Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” (niv)

However, after his brothers had left for the festival, he went also, not publicly, but in secret. (niv)

“ And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. (niv)

Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days. There he stayed,and many people came to him. They said,“ Though John never performed a sign, all that John said about this man was true.” (niv)
