於是他們都被聖靈充滿，就照著聖靈賜給他們的話，開始說出別種語言。

「我告訴你們：在女人所生的人中，沒有一個比約翰更大的；然而在神的國裡，再小的也比約翰更大。」

然而，是你使我從母腹中出來，是你使我在母親的懷中就有依靠。

他父親卻拒絕他，說：「我知道，我兒，我知道！他也要成為一族，也必昌大；只是他的弟弟將來比他還要昌大，他弟弟的後裔必成為多國。」

萬軍之耶和華必保護他們，他們必吞噬、制伏用投石器投石頭的敵人；他們飲血喧鬧像飲酒一樣，他們如獻祭的碗盛滿了血，又如祭壇的四角沾滿了血。

我要使你成為一個大國，我要祝福你，使你的名為大；你也必成為別人的祝福！

約翰是一盞燃燒發光的燈，你們情願在他的光裡快樂一時。

這時，彼得和其他十一個使徒一同站起來，高聲對眾人說：「各位猶太人和所有住在耶路撒冷的人哪，你們應當知道這件事，也應當仔細聽我的話，因為這些人不是像你們所想的那樣喝醉了，要知道，現在不過是早上九點。其實這是先知約珥所說的：『神說，在末後的那些日子裡將是這樣：我要把我的靈傾注在所有人身上，你們的兒女要說預言，你們的年輕人要見異象，你們的老年人要做異夢。是的，在那些日子裡，我也要將我的靈傾注在我的奴僕和婢女們身上，他們就要說預言。
