Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense.

Then he placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the veil;and he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

The angel answered and said to him,“ I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

And God listened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again to the woman as she was sitting in the field, but Manoah her husband was not with her.

Then the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her,“ Behold now, you are infertile and have not given birth; but you will conceive and give birth to a son.

About the ninth hour of the day he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God who had just come in and said to him,“ Cornelius!”And he looked at him intently and became terrified, and said,“ What is it, lord?” And he said to him,“ Your prayers and charitable gifts have ascended as a memorial offering before God.

But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the gates of the prison, and leading them out, he said,

Then he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit long and a cubit wide, square, and two cubits high; its horns were of one piece with it.And he overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and he made a gold molding for it all around.He also made two golden rings for it under its molding, on its two sides— on opposite sides— as holders for poles with which to carry it.And he made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.Then he made the holy anointing oil and the pure, fragrant incense of spices, the work of a perfumer.

“ Now you shall make an altar as a place for burning incense; you shall make it of acacia wood.Its length shall be a cubit, and its width a cubit; it shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits; its horns shall be of one piece with it.You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding all around for it.You shall also make two gold rings for it under its molding; you shall make them on its two sides— on opposite sides— and they shall be holders for poles with which to carry it.And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.You shall put this altar in front of the veil that is near the ark of the testimony, in front of the atoning cover that is over the ark of the testimony, where I will meet with you.Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it; he shall burn it every morning when he trims the lamps.And when Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense. There shall be perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations.You shall not offer any strange incense on this altar, or burnt offering, or meal offering; and you shall not pour out a drink offering on it.However, Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year; he shall make atonement on it with the blood of the sin offering of atonement once a year throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord.”

Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne.And the smoke of the incense ascended from the angel’s hand with the prayers of the saints before God.

And so the angel said to them,“ Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to provide service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

He shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, so that the cloud of incense may cover the atoning cover that is on the ark of the testimony, otherwise he will die.

Then the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

And coming in, he said to her,“ Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.”
