他要按手在贖罪祭牲的頭上，在燔祭牲的地方把牠宰了。

他要按手在燔祭牲的頭上，為自己贖罪，就蒙悅納。他要在耶和華面前宰公牛犢；亞倫子孫作祭司的要獻上血，把血灑在會幕門口壇的周圍。

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你要吩咐以色列人說：若有人無意中犯罪，在任何事上犯了一條耶和華所吩咐的禁令，或是受膏的祭司犯了罪，使百姓陷在罪裏，他就當為自己所犯的罪，把沒有殘疾的公牛犢獻給耶和華為贖罪祭。他要把公牛牽到會幕的門口，在耶和華面前按手在牛的頭上，把牛宰於耶和華面前。受膏的祭司要取些公牛的血，帶到會幕那裏。祭司要把手指蘸在血中，在耶和華面前對着聖所的幔子彈血七次，又要把一些血抹在會幕內，耶和華面前香壇的四個翹角上，再把公牛其餘的血全倒在會幕門口燔祭壇的底座上；又要取出這頭贖罪祭公牛所有的脂肪，就是包着內臟的脂肪和內臟上所有的脂肪，兩個腎和腎上的脂肪，即靠近腎兩旁的脂肪，以及肝上的網油，連同腎一起取下，正如從平安祭的牛身上所取的，祭司要把這些燒在燔祭壇上。但公牛的皮和所有的肉，以及頭、腿、內臟、糞，就是全公牛，要搬到營外清潔的地方倒灰之處，放在柴上用火焚燒。
