Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.

The Lord sent fire on the altar. The fire burned up the burnt offering along with the fat parts. All the people saw it. Then they shouted for joy. They fell with their faces to the ground.

玛挪亚取了一只山羊羔和素祭，在磐石上献与那行奇事的耶和华（按照《马索拉文本》，“行奇事”缺主语，直译是﹕“献与耶和华，和行奇事”；现参照各古译本翻译）；玛挪亚和他的妻子一直在观看。火焰从祭坛上往天升起的时候，耶和华的使者在祭坛上的火焰中也升上去了；玛挪亚和他的妻子看见了，就俯伏在地。

大卫在那里为耶和华筑了一座祭坛，献上燔祭和平安祭；他呼求耶和华，耶和华就应允他，从天上降火在燔祭坛上。

他们赞美和称谢，向耶和华歌唱，说：“耶和华是至善的，他向以色列人所施的慈爱永远长存。”他们赞美耶和华的时候，众人都大声呼喊，因为耶和华殿的根基已经奠定。

以色列的牧者啊！带领约瑟好像带领羊群的啊！求你留心听；坐在基路伯上面的啊！求你显出荣光。

希西家在耶和华面前祷告，说：“耶和华以色列的神，坐在二基路伯中间的啊，只有你是地上万国的神，天地是你创造的。

所罗门祷告完了，有火从天上降下来，烧尽了燔祭和其他的祭品；耶和华的荣光充满了那殿。因为耶和华的荣光充满了耶和华的殿，祭司都不能进入耶和华的殿。那火降下，耶和华的荣光停在殿上的时候，以色列众人都看见；于是他们在铺石地跪下，俯伏在地，敬拜称颂耶和华说：“耶和华是良善的，他的慈爱永远长存。”

摩西和亚伦就俯伏在地，说：“神啊，万人之灵的神啊，一人犯罪，你就要向全体会众发怒吗？”

日落天黑的时候，忽然有冒烟的炉和烧着的火把，从那些肉块中经过。

他稍往前走，把脸俯伏在地上，祷告说：“我的父啊！可能的话，求你使这杯离开我；但不要照我的意思，只要照你的旨意。”

每逢四个活物把荣耀、尊贵、感谢献给那坐在宝座上，活到永永远远的那一位的时候，

耶和华的使者从荆棘丛里的火焰中向摩西显现。摩西观看，看见荆棘被火烧着，却没有烧毁。

于是亚伯兰俯伏在地，神又告诉他，说：

他拿了书卷之后，四个活物和二十四位长老就俯伏在羊羔面前，各拿着琴和盛满了香的金炉，这香就是众圣徒的祈祷。

我已经为你建造了巍峨的殿宇，作你永远居住的地方。”

所有的天使都站在宝座、众长老和四个活物的四周。他们在宝座前，面伏在地上敬拜神，

摩西和亚伦就俯伏在以色列全体会众面前。

他的妻子却对他说：“如果耶和华有意要杀我们，就必不从我们的手里接纳燔祭和素祭，也必不会把这一切事指示我们，更不会在这个时候向我们宣布这些事啊。”

愿他记念你的一切素祭，悦纳你的燔祭。（细拉）愿他照着你的心愿赏赐你，实现你的一切计划。

有一天，该隐把地里的出产拿来，当作礼物献给耶和华。亚伯也把自己羊群中一些头生的，和羊的脂油拿来献上。耶和华看中了亚伯和他的礼物；

火必须不断在祭坛上烧着，不可熄灭。
