然而你們是蒙揀選的族類，是君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國民，是屬神的子民，為要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

因為聖經上記著說：“你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的。”

你要對他們說：你們世世代代的後裔中，若是不潔淨，卻接近以色列人分別為聖歸耶和華的聖物，那人必從我面前被剪除；我是耶和華。亞倫的後裔中，患了痲風病，或是血漏症的，都不可吃聖物，直到他潔淨了；觸摸了任何屍體的不潔或遺精的人，或是觸摸了任何使他玷污的爬蟲，或是摸了使他成為不潔淨的人（不論那人有甚麼不潔淨），摸了這些的人，必不潔淨到晚上；如果他不用水洗身，就不可吃聖物。日落之後，他就潔淨了，可以吃聖物，因為那是他的食物。

到那日，馬的鈴鐺上必有“歸耶和華為聖”這句話；耶和華殿裡的鍋必好像祭壇前獻祭用的碗一樣。耶路撒冷和猶大所有的鍋都必歸萬軍之耶和華為聖；獻祭的，都必來取這些鍋，用來煮祭肉。到那日，在萬軍之耶和華的殿中，必不再有商人（“商人”原文作“迦南人”）。

人若用自己的衣襟盛載聖肉，後來又使自己的衣襟觸著餅、湯、酒、油或別的食物，這就算為聖嗎？”祭司都回答說：“不算為聖。”哈該又說：“人若因觸著屍體而成為不潔，又觸著這些東西的任何一樣，這就算為不潔嗎？”祭司都回答說：“要算為不潔淨。”於是哈該回答，說：“耶和華說：‘這民也是這樣，這國在我面前也是這樣；他們手裡的一切工作，都是這樣；他們在那裡所獻的，都是不潔淨的。’

任何脂肪和血你們都不可吃。這是你們在一切住處一條世代永存的律例。”

你要為祭壇行贖罪祭七天，也要使它成聖，這樣，祭壇就成為至聖；一切觸著祭壇的東西，都要成聖。

接觸過這祭肉的，必成為聖。沾了祭牲的血，必須清理；血濺在衣服上，應該在聖潔的地方洗淨，
