要拿一把牛膝草，蘸盆里的血，把盆里的血涂在门楣上和两边的门框上。直到早晨你们谁也不可出自己家里的门。因为耶和华要走遍埃及，施行击杀，他看见血在门楣上和两边的门框上，耶和华就必逾越那门，不让灭命者进你们的家，施行击杀。

原来那为万物所属、为万物所本的，为要领许多儿子进入荣耀，使救他们的元帅因受苦难而得以完全，本是合宜的。

他要在耶和华面前宰公牛犊；亚伦子孙作祭司的要献上血，把血洒在会幕门口坛的周围。

耶和华因自己的公义，乐意使律法为大为尊。

祭司要把鸟拿到坛前，扭断它的头，把鸟烧在坛上，鸟的血要流在坛的旁边；

并新约的中保耶稣，以及所洒的血；这血所说的信息比亚伯的血所说的更美。

人在哪里宰燔祭牲，也要在哪里宰赎愆祭牲；其血，祭司要洒在坛的周围。
