眷顧下土、而灌溉之、廣加滋潤、上帝之川、充盈以水、爾既備地、給人以糧兮、深潤其阡陌、平治其土壤、柔之以甘霖、錫嘏其所產兮、冠年以恩澤、爾所經之路、滴瀝以恩膏兮、滴瀝於野間草場、岡陵束以歡樂兮、草場被以羣羊、諸谷盈以禾稼、皆歡呼而謳歌兮、

誰為雨水開渠、誰為雷電備路、使雨降於無人之處、雨於空曠之野、霑足荒田、滋殖草萊、雨豈有父、露珠誰生、

耶和華必錫嘏、我之土壤、必出其產兮、

請爾追思、此日以前、即自九月二十四日、立耶和華殿基時、爾其念之、倉廩尚有穀種乎、葡萄、無花果、石榴、橄欖諸樹、俱未結實、自今以後、我必錫嘏於爾、○

則可為爾天父之子、蓋天父使日照於善不善、雨降於義不義者也、

使密雲涵蒸氣、散布蘊電之雲、依其引導、旋轉往還、運行於全地、悉遵厥命、或以之潤土壤、或以為懲、或以為惠、

彼有權閉天、使於其預言之日不雨、亦有權治諸水、變之為血、且隨其所欲、以各災擊地、

穫前三月、我禁厥雨、惟雨此邑、不雨彼邑、一田得雨、他田無雨、則枯槁焉、如是、二三邑之民、踉蹌而行、至他邑求水、飲之而不足、然爾猶不歸我、耶和華言之矣、

使之荒蕪、不治不鋤、荊棘蒺藜滋長、命雲不雨、

異邦虛無之物、有能降雨者乎、天能自施甘霖乎、我之上帝耶和華歟、行此者非爾乎、故我仰望爾、蓋此諸事、皆爾所為也、

兄弟乎、宜恆忍以待主臨、試觀農人冀地之嘉產、恆忍以待、至得前後之雨、

以利亞為人、情同我儕、切求不雨、則不雨於地、歷三年有六月、再求、則天賜雨、而地出其產、○

然未嘗無證、乃施慈仁、雨降自天、果生以時、俾爾足食、喜溢於心、

旅於基列之提斯比人以利亞、告亞哈曰、我指所事維生之耶和華、以色列之上帝而誓、此數年間、非我有言、則雨露不降、

彼自其閣、灌溉山岡、緣其功效、大地饒足兮、
