惡者雖無追襲、而遁逃恐後、義者之膽、其大若獅。

使之見敗於異邦、受制於仇敵兮、維彼寇讎、困迫之兮、恃強以凌虐兮、

故耶和華怒以色列族、付於四周之敵、為人所虜、莫能扞禦。

蓋在斯土、猶大及耶路撒冷人之謀、我必敗之、使陷於敵手、殞於鋒刃、其尸駭為飛鳥走獸所食。

非利士人遂戰、敗以色列族、使各歸故幕、大戮其眾、死者三萬。

我必罰之、及其眷聚、凡縱私欲奉摩洛、效彼為非者、絕之民中。憑於卜神、而為巫覡。有狥欲以從者、我必罰之、絕於民中。

故爾使之困於敵國、遭難之時、彼呼籲爾、爾自天俯聽、矜憫靡涯、累賜扶危之士、不為敵所害。既釋之後、彼復行惡於爾前、爾假手於敵、使敵人統轄之、民仍籲爾、爾自天垂聽、體恤倍至、屢加援手。加以訓誨、使服爾律例、彼妄自誇大、不從爾命、爾之法度、遵之者則得生、彼故犯之、強項難馴、背命不聽。爾之恆忍、歷年已久、以爾之神、感諸先知、訓迪斯民、彼不聽從、故爾使異邦人敗之。

郇民屢犯、耶和華責之兮、敵人亨通、挾制邑民、虜其赤子兮。

爾曹猶有孑遺、處於敵國、必使爾心畏葸、風吹葉落、偶聞其聲、則懼而遁、若避鋒刃、即無追者、亦必隕沒。自相蹂躪、如擊以刃、拒敵無能。

上帝兮、勃然興起、使爾仇敵離散、寇讎遁逃兮、上帝涖至、惡者滅亡、如風驅烟、如火消蠟兮、

非利士人攻以色列族。以色列族遁在吉破山、見殺者眾。
