“‘ If you sell land to any of your own people or buy land from them, do not take advantage of each other.

“‘ Suppose you sell land to any of your own people. Or you buy land from them. Then do not take advantage of each other.

And if you make a sale to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

“ When you make an agreement with your neighbor to buy or sell property, you must not take advantage of each other.

If you make a sale to your neighbor or a purchase from him, do not cheat one another.

Furthermore, if you make a sale to your friend, or buy from your friend’s hand, you shall not wrong one another.

And if you sell anything to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor’s hand, you shall not oppress one another.

And if thou sell aught unto thy neighbor, or buy of thy neighbor’s hand, ye shall not wrong one another.

If you make a sale to your neighbor or a purchase from him, do not cheat one another.

And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest[ ought] of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:

If you make a sale to your fellow citizen or buy from your fellow citizen, no one is to wrong his brother.

You levy a straw tax on the poor and impose a tax on their grain. Hear this, you who trample the needy and do away with the poor of the land,saying,“ When will the New Moon be over that we may sell grain, and the Sabbath be ended that we may market wheat?”— skimping on the measure, boosting the price and cheating with dishonest scales,buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat.The Lord has sworn by himself, the Pride of Jacob:“ I will never forget anything they have done. In you they have treated father and mother with contempt; in you they have oppressed the foreigner and mistreated the fatherless and the widow. (niv)

Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you.Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes.Your gold and silver are corroded. “ Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? (niv)

They covet fields and seize them, and houses, and take them. If you see the poor oppressed in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still. (niv)

Those who walk righteously and speak what is right, who reject gain from extortion and keep their hands from accepting bribes, who stop their ears against plots of murder and shut their eyes against contemplating evil— (niv)

Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire— they all conspire together. (niv)

For he has oppressed the poor and left them destitute; he has seized houses he did not build.“ Surely he will have no respite from his craving; he cannot save himself by his treasure. (niv)
