Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

“ Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning continually.

And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which[ is] before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD:[ it shall be] a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.

And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now[ are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light:( For the fruit of the Spirit[ is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove[ them].For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

For the commandment[ is] a lamp; and the law[ is] light; and reproofs of instruction[ are] the way of life:

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

To give light to them that sit in darkness and[ in] the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

The pure candlestick,[ with] the lamps thereof,[ even with] the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word,[ it is] because[ there is] no light in them.

[ That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to[ give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.And five of them were wise, and five[ were] foolish.They that[ were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God[ was], and Samuel was laid down[ to sleep];That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here[ am] I.

NUN. Thy word[ is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Let your loins be girded about, and[ your] lights burning;

And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread also[ set they in order] upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.

Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.And this work of the candlestick[ was of] beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof,[ was] beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
