And it was so, when the days of[ their] feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings[ according] to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Who[ was there] among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of mine hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of mine hand?Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?And his servants spake yet[ more] against the LORD God, and against his servant Hezekiah.He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of[ other] lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did[ it] ignorantly in unbelief.

And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Remember this,[ that] the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and[ that] the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
