“‘ Do not have sexual relations with the sister of either your mother or your father, for that would dishonor a close relative; both of you would be held responsible.

“‘ Do not have sex with the sister of either your mother or your father. That would bring shame on a close relative. Both of you would be held responsible for what you have done.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for that is to make naked one’s relative; they shall bear their iniquity.

“ Do not have sexual relations with your aunt, whether your mother’s sister or your father’s sister. This would dishonor a close relative. Both parties are guilty and will be punished for their sin.

You must not have sexual intercourse with your mother’s sister or your father’s sister, for it is exposing one’s own blood relative; both people will bear their iniquity.

You shall also not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for such a one has uncovered his blood relative; they will bear their guilt.

你不可揭露你姑母的下体；她是你父亲的骨肉之亲。你不可揭露你姨母的下体；她是你母亲的骨肉之亲。你不可揭露你叔伯的下体，不可亲近他的妻子，她本是你的婶母。你不可揭露你儿媳的下体；她是你儿子的妻子，你不可揭露她的下体。你不可揭露你兄弟妻子的下体；那本是你兄弟的下体。你不可揭露一个妇人的下体，又揭露她女儿的下体；不可娶她的孙女，或是她的外孙女，揭露她的下体；她们是骨肉之亲，这是丑恶的事。妻子还活着的时候，你不可另娶她的姊妹，作她的情敌，揭露她的下体。“在污秽不洁中的妇女，你不可亲近她，揭露她的下体。你不可与你同伴的妻子私通，因她而玷污自己。你不可把你的子孙献给摩洛，也不可亵渎你神的名；我是耶和华。你不可与男人同睡交合，像与女人同睡交合一样，这是可憎的事。你不可与任何走兽同睡交合，因它而玷污自己；女人也不可站在走兽面前，与它交合；这是逆性的事。“你们不可让这些事的任何一件玷污自己，因为我将要从你们面前赶出去的各族，就是被这些事玷污了自己。连地也被玷污，所以我追讨那地的罪孽，那地就把居民吐出去。所以，你们要谨守我的律例和典章；这一切可憎的事，无论是本地人或是在你们中间寄居的外人，一件都不可作（因为在你们以前住在那地的人，行了这一切可憎的事，就玷污了自己）；免得你们玷污那地，那地就把你们吐出去，像吐出了在你们以前的各民族一样。无论什么人，行了一件这些可憎的事，必从自己的族人中被剪除。所以你们要谨守我的吩咐，免得你们行那些可憎的风俗，就是你们以前的人所行的，玷污了自己。我是耶和华你们的神。”

暗兰娶了自己的姑母约基别为妻；约基别给他生了亚伦和摩西；暗兰一生的岁数是一百三十七岁。
