『你在田地裏收割莊稼、若把一捆遺漏在田間，不可再回去拿；那要給寄居的和孤兒寡婦；好使永恆主你的上帝在你手裏作的一切事上賜福與你。你打橄欖樹以後，枝子不可再查看；那要給寄居的和孤兒寡婦。你割取葡萄園的葡萄以後，所剩下的不可再摘盡了；那要給寄居的和孤兒寡婦。要記得你在埃及地做過奴隸；所以我吩咐你要遵行這話。

『你要告訴以色列人說：你們到了我所賜給你們的地、收割莊稼的時候、要將莊稼初熟的一捆帶給祭司。

在這一天、凡不刻苦的人、就必在他的族人中被剪除。
