“‘ Do not turn to idols or make metal gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.

“‘ Do not turn away from me to worship statues of gods. Do not make for yourselves metal statues of gods. I am the Lord your God.

Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves any gods of cast metal: I am the Lord your God.

“ Do not put your trust in idols or make metal images of gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.

Do not turn to worthless idols or make cast images of gods for yourselves; I am the LORD your God.

Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves cast metal gods; I am the Lord your God.

Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am Jehovah your God.

“ You shall make no molded gods for yourselves.

You shall not make anything to be with Me— gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.

“ You shall have no other gods before Me.“ You shall not make for yourself a carved image— any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

‘ Cursed is the one who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’“ And all the people shall answer and say,‘ Amen!’

Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands.They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see;They have ears, but they do not hear; Noses they have, but they do not smell;They have hands, but they do not handle; Feet they have, but they do not walk; Nor do they mutter through their throat.

And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said,“ This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens.

‘ Consider now from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundation of the LORD’s temple was laid— consider it:
