“‘ Do not eat any meat with the blood still in it.“‘ Do not practice divination or seek omens.

“ You shall not eat any flesh with the blood in it. You shall not interpret omens or tell fortunes.

“ Do not eat meat that has not been drained of its blood.“ Do not practice fortune telling or witchcraft.

“ You are not to eat anything with blood in it. You are not to practice divination or witchcraft.

Ye shall not eat anything with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantments, nor practise augury.

“ You are not to eat anything with blood in it. You are not to practice divination or sorcery.

Ye shall not eat[ any thing] with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

“‘ You must not eat anything with the blood still in it. You must not practice either divination or soothsaying.

“‘ You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it. You shall not use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.

They sacrificed their sons and daughters in the fire. They practiced divination and sought omens and sold themselves to do evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger. (niv)

“‘ This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.’” (niv)

Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft,or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you.You must be blameless before the Lord your God.The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination. But as for you, the Lord your God has not permitted you to do so. (niv)

“‘ I will set my face against any Israelite or any foreigner residing among them who eats blood, and I will cut them off from the people.For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.Therefore I say to the Israelites,“ None of you may eat blood, nor may any foreigner residing among you eat blood.”“‘ Any Israelite or any foreigner residing among you who hunts any animal or bird that may be eaten must drain out the blood and cover it with earth,because the life of every creature is its blood. That is why I have said to the Israelites,“ You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood; anyone who eats it must be cut off.” (niv)

I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the Lord Almighty. This is what the Lord says:“ Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them. (niv)

But the magicians did the same things by their secret arts; they also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt. (niv)
