Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’”

Do exactly what I require. When you arrive in Canaan, do not follow any of the practices of its people. I hate the things they do. Do not make yourselves“ unclean” by doing them. I am the Lord your God.’ ”

So keep my charge never to practice any of these abominable customs that were practiced before you, and never to make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.”

So obey my instructions, and do not defile yourselves by committing any of these detestable practices that were committed by the people who lived in the land before you. I am the Lord your God.”

我在你們面前所逐出的國民，你們不可隨從他們的風俗。因為他們行了這一切的事，所以我厭惡他們。

他們要遵守我的吩咐，免得因褻瀆聖物，擔當自己的罪而死。我是使他們分別為聖的耶和華。

但你們要遵守我的律例典章。這一切可憎惡的事，無論是本地人或寄居在你們中間的外人，都不可以做。在你們之前居住那地的人做了這一切可憎惡的事，地就玷污了。

「你到了耶和華－你神所賜你之地，不可學那些國家行可憎惡的事。你中間不可有人使兒女經火，也不可有占卜的、觀星象的、行法術的、行邪術的、施符咒的、招魂的、行巫術的和求問死人的。凡做這些事的都是耶和華所憎惡的；因這可憎惡的事，耶和華－你的神把他們從你面前趕出去。

「你要吩咐以色列人，對他們說：我是耶和華－你們的神。你們不可做你們從前住埃及地的人所做的，也不可做我要領你們去的迦南地的人所做的。你們不可照他們的習俗行。你們要遵行我的典章，謹守我的律例，按此而行。我是耶和華－你們的神。

「你要愛耶和華－你的神，天天遵守他的吩咐、律例、典章、誡命。
