Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

爾毋行此沾污己身、我於爾前所將逐之諸族皆行之、自取沾污、

“‘ Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled.

“‘ Do not make yourselves“ unclean” in any of these ways. That is how other nations became“ unclean.” So I am going to drive those nations out of the land to make room for you.

“ Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean,

“ Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for the people I am driving out before you have defiled themselves in all these ways.

“ Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves by all these things.

‘ Do not defile yourselves by any of these things; for by all these things the nations which I am driving out from you have become defiled.

‘ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you;

“ Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves by all these things.

“‘ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things, for the nations which I am about to drive out before you have been defiled with all these things.

“‘ Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.

For all that do these things[ are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that[ ye] commit not[ any one] of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I[ am] the LORD your God.

Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:These are[ the things] which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending[ them], saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.

Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which[ temple] ye are.

None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover[ their] nakedness: I[ am] the LORD.The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she[ is] thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it[ is] thy father’s nakedness.The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother,[ whether she be] born at home, or born abroad,[ even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter,[ even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs[ is] thine own nakedness.The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she[ is] thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she[ is] thy father’s near kinswoman.Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she[ is] thy mother’s near kinswoman.Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she[ is] thine aunt.Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she[ is] thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it[ is] thy brother’s nakedness.Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness;[ for] they[ are] her near kinswomen: it[ is] wickedness.Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex[ her], to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life[ time].Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through[ the fire] to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I[ am] the LORD.Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it[ is] abomination.Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it[ is] confusion.

For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother,[ It is] Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;[ he shall be free].And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.And when he had called all the people[ unto him], he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one[ of you], and understand:There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man,[ it] cannot defile him;Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
